For small and medium sized organisations strategic business development is often an issue that owners grapple with. Whilst they are working hard to fulfil orders, manage budgets and run day-to-day operations, initiating original ways of marketing their business in order for it to reach its full potential can be difficult.

Breathe Media’s Managing Director, Andrew Cook, specialises in sales and business development having established one of the country’s leading sales promotions agencies and run the East’s largest commercial radio station. Because he understands the many and diverse challenges that SME’s face Andrew is able to create bespoke strategies that can either be delivered by Breathe Media, or prepared for the client to take on themselves with occasional input from Andrew.

“Breathe doesn’t just take on big-budget commissions – we are happy to do one-off projects to demonstrate to potential clients how cost-effective strategic business development can be. For example, we recently helped a local company, Norfolk Games and Frames fine-tune their existing newsletter to make it work harder for them.”

Achieving national media coverage is a challenge, even for agencies based in London surrounded by most of the high-profile media houses. However, given the right approach, good contacts and the ability to match the story with the publication, agencies should be generating relevant coverage with a good reach on a regular basis for their clients.

William Mason Fine Wines has launched an innovative new wine club to bring a whole new wine tasting experience to Norfolk.

The aim of the club is to offer new and existing customers benefits to purchasing wine through him including previews of his wine list, discounts, trips to vineyards to meet producers and special events in unique venues around Norfolk. He also supplies many of the leading hotels and restaurants in Norfolk (including Morston Hall and the Flying Kiwi group) so has access to celebrity chefs and together they will create amazing food and wine combinations exclusively for members.

The major difference between this and other wine clubs is that usually the member is dictated to by the club which wines they receive. However, the William Mason Wine Club will create bespoke packages for their members according to the tastes and requirements of the individuals.

Breathe Media secured coverage in the Business section of the Eastern Daily Press, which hailed it as a 'Special Service'.
